| Irene
Oppenheim, Artistic Director since 1994, is a playwright,
critic, essayist, producer, and teacher. Her articles and
dance/theater reviews have appeared in the Los Angeles Times and
the Threepenny Review. She is also an award-winning playwright
with both national and international production credits. In
1989, Ms. Oppenheim received the Media Access Award from the
California Governor's Committee for Employment of Disabled
Persons. She has been a California Artist in Residence at the
Mark Taper Forum, and in 2001 served as dramaturge on the Taper
Too production of Lynn Manning's play Weights. |
